Simultaneous use of the IBI-aws Admin

A usage request is no longer required to create and edit a message if another person is already using the IBI-aws Admin.

Default template

In order to simplify the creation of messages even more, a default template can now be specified. This allows the default values of a new message to be customized.

Content type for categorization and visual distinction of the messages

A content type can be used to categorize a message. In addition, this information can be used to customize the appearance of a message by specifying a design in the skin for the corresponding content type.

Datetime variables

To avoid having to adjust dates, such as the start time, specified within the message field of a message that comes from a template, date variables can now be specified.

Microsoft Teams connectivity

Messages can now also be sent to Microsoft Teams channels.

Simple clean up of IBI-aws MobileClient e-mail registrations

By checking the IBI-aws MobileClients e-mail registrations against a directory service, the registrations of disabled or deleted user accounts can be removed more easily.

Countdown and display duration adjustable per message

The countdown of a fullscreen message and the display duration of an insertion could previously be set per message group. Now, these properties can be overridden per message, if required. In addition, this setting is now also available for static message, e.g. to be able to display a static message permanently.

Enhancement of the command line interface

With the newly added functions, for example, expired messages can be archived automatically if required or the message publishing action can be performed independently of other actions.

IBI-aws WebClient: Individual grouping options

To be able to group messages more individually, the tags stored in the message or its content type can now be used.

Multitenancy improved

The IBI-aws Admin can serve multiple tenants within the same instance, so it is no longer necessary to provide multiple instances for different tenants.

Certificate-based encryption

To make the communication between IBI-aws Admin and IBI-aws Clients even more secure, the message file can now be encrypted using a certificate.

Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory)

In addition to the previously supported directory services, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) is now also supported. This means that addressing can also be performed via users and computers of Microsoft Entra ID.

Address registry entries

Address messages even more precisely using registry entries. For example, you can use it to inform users of a particular printer that it is unavailable for maintenance.

Messages can now be archived to improve clarity.

Proxy settings simplified

The proxy settings have been integrated into the IBI-aws Admin for simplicity.

Changeable maximum length of the message reason

The maximum length of the message reason can be specified per message group.

Impact measurement even more granular

The previous "Amount of viewed messages" function is now called "Impact" and allows an even more granular count, if required. In addition to the previous "Viewed" amount, it is now also possible to see how many people are affected by a message or have been displayed the message. Furthermore, the determination of these values has been extended to early warnings, status updates and the resolve message.

Directory service objects favorites

Mark directory service objects as favorites to have them directly at hand without searching.

The recognition of certain favorites can be further improved by setting their own name and notice.

Select existing text

The new "Select existing text" function can be used to select texts from other messages or templates. So even multilingual texts can be added to a message in just one step.

Restore removed messages

If messages are removed, they are first moved to the "Removed" section. From there, the messages can either be restored or permanently removed.

Create categories that are only for specific people and assign them to specific devices.

Application detection extended by version number and path

An application-specific message can be restricted to a very specific instance of the application by optionally specifying a version number and/or path, so that an even more precise user notification can take place.

Encryption of the message file for mobile clients

The previous obfuscation is replaced by an encryption that can only be decrypted by the IBI-aws MobileClients belonging to the corresponding message group.

URL detection support for Microsoft Edge (Chromium)

URL detection, already available for other browsers, is now available for the new Microsoft Edge (Chromium) browser.

The Command Line Interface can be used to create, disable, and resolve messages using the command line.

Multiple additional message data sources and skins

It is now possible to specify any number of additional message data sources and skins.

Skin per message data source

If the IBI-aws Client obtains messages from an additional data source, a separate skin can be specified for this source.

Dynamic message window

With the new features of the IBI-aws Skin it its possible to resize the message window.

In addition, the initial window size can be adapted to the screen size proportionally. For example, an insertion can take up the full width of the screen.

WebClient: Table view

Messages in the IBI-aws WebClient can now also be listed in a table view.

Register mobile devices via code

Registration for mobile devices can now be completed by using a code. It is no longer necessary to enter an e-mail address during registration.

Formatting

Text parts of an IBI-aws message can now be formatted *bold*, _italic_ or/and +underlined+ if desired.

Groups in the network pool can contain references to other groups.

Integrated the e-mail delivery into the publication process

Sending e-mails is now integrated into the publication process. With this change it is possible to inform e.g. external application managers, without an additional, manual step.

Do not disturb

To avoid interruption by IBI-aws messages in meetings or similar, the Do not disturb function has been added. If this function is enabled in the IBI-aws Client, all messages are converted into silent notes for the selected period.

Improved message management

In the IBI-aws Admin it's now possible to copy early warnings and status updates within the same message and across other messages. Furthermore, lists can be filtered now.

IBI-aws WebClient

The IBI-aws WebClient enables you to display current and future messages in a website. By the IBI-aws Admin integration, no additional step is required to provide the information. Once set up, the IBI-aws Admin will do the rest when publishing.

URL detection: Support for further browsers and expanded functionality

Added support for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox. The restriction to the domain part has been canceled, so that individual URLs can be defined as single applications.

Web outoput

WIth the web output, IBI-aws messages can be published in a JavaScript file. This can then be used for further processing in other tools.

New runtime environment

To take advantage of new .NET Framework features IBI-aws Admin now requires the .NET Framework 4.5 (except Windows XP).
